The 210th Annual Communication of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio was held on October 18 and 19 at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Over 200 Masons were in attendance for the weekend. For those of you that don’t know, the city of Marietta hold a special place in the heart of Ohio Freemasonry. General Rufus Putnam founded the city of Marietta and was elected the first Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Ohio. The first Masonic Lodge in Ohio was also formed there, American Union #1, and is still active today.
At the Annual Communication, Most Worshipful Brother Keith W. Newton was elected as the 164th Grand Master of Ohio. MWB Newton’s theme for the year is “Step into the Light.”
Our Annual meeting is quickly approaching. Oh how fast this past year has flown by. This year’s annual meeting will be on Monday, November 4. 2019 starting at 7:30 P.M. All Master Masons are encouraged to attend as we will be voting on officers for the upcoming year. Additionally, dues for next year must be paid by the end of the meeting.
The 2019 Ohio Grand Lodge Communication will be held this year in Marietta, Ohio, on October 18th and 19th, 2019. Our Worshipful Master, Senior Warden, and Junior Warden will be making the trip down to representation our lodge at the annual communication. Join us on Monday October 7, 2019 for our annual move-up night. Come out and see all the officers stepping up one officer to run the meeting. This is will be our first stated meeting of the month. Our education program for that evening will be on our Lodge Charter.
